The Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A.) at Dovery Down Lower School is a fundraising group, raising money for extras that the School would not otherwise be able to afford. In the past the money raised by the P.T.A. has been used to provide the School with many things to enhance the lives of the children including extra computers, carpeting for the classrooms, funding for improvements to the grounds and many other things.

The funds are raised by organising events for both children and parents alike from regular discos to quiz evenings and of course our well known Summer fayre.

Every parent with a child at Dovery Down is automatically a member of the P.T.A. and can get involved as much or as little as they wish. We find that the events are always very popular with the parents and children alike and everyone who attends can be assured of a good time.

Here are the winning entries to the Turn off your engine competition which are all displayed in the school car parking area.

All other entries are displayed around the school.

Well done to all the pupils that entered.

We all have clothing in our wardrobes that we have not worn in ages! In a world of fast fashion, we now have a lot of stuff – but when it comes to a clear out what do you do to make sure the environment comes off best?

Using a clothes recycling scheme means you are helping to keep textiles out of landfill, your old unwanted clothes can go to those in need AND you can help to raise money for our school.

We are lucky to have Starlight recycling bin in our carpark that needs filling up!
